Life on Stage



Jess Elgene is an actress, comedian, and singer-songwriter.
She is best known for her solo show, Less of a Man, which Binge Fringe Magazine called "some of the very best of storytelling at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival" in 2024. In 2025, Elgene was named Best Improviser at the Fun and Dumb Improv Festival and one of the New Faces of Comedy by Just For Laughs. She holds a BFA in Acting from TCU, where she was nominated for the Pillar of University Leadership award and received the Nancy Meyers McCauley Award for excellence in theatre. Elgene resides in New York City with her dog, Buddy, and whatever rescue dog she's fostering at the moment.
